Apart from the huge off-shoulder trend right now, there is another trend that can be seen everywhere right now: the body. When I first saw it, it somehow reminded me on 90s sports gear. Paired with the right clothes however, it can actually look really cool. One great way to wear it is with a boyfriend jeans. Since the body is really tight you’d want to go a little loose downwards. I paired my body with one of my favorite A-line skirts and simple sneakers. What do you think? Do you like this summer trend?
I am wearing: skirt (Mango, similar here & here), body (Moves by Minimum, similar via Zalando), sneakers (Adidas via Zalando)
Unbelievable how quick the weather can change. Last week I was wondering if spring is even here and then pufff, it’s summer! And I love it! I can finally make room in my closet for dresses, shirts and skirts and get rid of all these space robbing thick sweaters!
If you’ve been following my blog long enough now, you know that I am not someone who goes for bold colors. I like it monochrome. However, somehow this bomber jacket caught my attention. Maybe it’s because finally spring is in the air that I am suddenly looking for a few colors in my outfit. What do you think of the jacket?
I am wearing: bomber jacket (Asos), jeans (Levi’s), top (H&M, old), heels (Schutz), watch (Nicole Vienna), sunnies (Ray Ban)
I’ve been blogging for more than two years now and I’ve definitely had my ups and downs. Sometimes I am full of passion and inspiration, then there are times when I am wondering, if it is worth the time, the money and the effort. As I don’t really agree with fashion doctrines such as “You have to have this bag” or “Don’t wear anything twice” I’m sometimes putting in question the whole fashion industry and thus my status as a blogger, too.
I have a huge problem with immoderateness and waste and very often when I want to shop for a new outfit, I ask myself: “Do I really need this?” and since I cannot complain myself about an empty closet, the answer is “no” most of the time.
As you guys might or might not know I am working in fashion PR. I am super happy to be working together with a brand called Skunkfunk. They stand up for greener, sustainable fashion and manufacture it in an environmentally friendly way. Also, they work with organic cotton, lyocell and linen and support fair wages for everyone involved in the process.
Now they have a new dress: The zero waste dress. Doesn’t that sound like the solution to my problem?! Zero waste refers to items of clothing where every piece of fabric is being used, nothing is wasted. Thus there is zero textile waste in the production. I think that’s an amazing concept and one that I can relate to very much.
And of course the dress is super pretty, don’t you think?
Although we’re not actually feeling it here in Berlin, summer is due to arrive. That’s why today I wanted to present you the latest summer trends for summer 2016.
One major trend, though it feels like it will never be out of style in summer anyways, is the hippie maxi dress. There is just something magic about putting on bold colors and a maxi dress to wear it for a garden party or to the beach.
The carmen top is definitely here to stay. The romantic top continues its successful course which has already started in summer 2015.
See-through tops are the perfect mix of sexy and sporty. Sporty-chic is not going to vanish anytime soon.
In summer we wear the bomberjacket in bold colors and with prints. That looks especially great with summer dresses.
Plissee is another major trend in summer. Skirts and dresses in summery colors look ultra-feminine and are easy to wear.
Slip in and you’re good to go. Slip on sandals are chic and easy to wear.
Bold stripes will put us in a good mood immediately. It doesn’t matter if they are horizontal or vertical, even a mix will do.
Looking at my outfit, the answer would be no. And looking outside the window while writing this blog post the answer is, unfortunately, still no. I am really wondering when we’ll have the first real spring days. Until then I will cosy up in my favorite oversized turtleneck and add layers.
I have always been a huge fan of pinstripes. They look sophisticated yet cool. I also have a thing for pencil skirts. Combined with pinstripes however, they can easily make you look like a secretary which is something I wanted to avoid, at least for an everyday outfit. That’s why I dressed the skirt down by adding sneakers instead of heels and a leather jacket instead of, let’s say, a trench coat. I also added my new Nicole Vienna watch. I honestly don’t know how I survived without a watch for so long 😉 I hope you like the look!
I still remember the time when everybody was like: “What do I need a watch for? I have my mobile phone!”.
I have always considered watches as such a beautiful style accessory and lately I have noticed a shift on social media towards the importance of them. Suddenly everybody is wearing watches again and there seem to be endless providers for different kind of watches. In the mass of all these offers I have fallen in love with one watch in particular: the marble watch by Nicole Vienna. Their clock-face is so pretty and the strap looks perfect. You can even change your strap if you like. I’m definitely not gonna take it off anytime soon. What do you think of it?
(thank you for collaborating on this post, Nicole Vienna)
I have to admit that the current sneakers trend really is a relief to me. I love high heels but let’s be honest, only while sitting, never while walking. I don’t know how girls do it, walking on high heels the whole day and still looking good. I could definitely use some training.
On the other hand, I have always been rather sporty and always feel overdressed when wearing high heels. Being officially “allowed” to wear sneakers with almost everything now is such a blessing to me. Today I combined my new Adidas sneakers with a casual and sporty Minus dress and added a white blouse around the waist. What do you think?
You could say that this is my uniform for a relaxed sunday. Jeans, white blouse and sneakers and I am good to go. I hate to feel dressed up or not like myself and this outfit is 100 percent me. Nothing too fancy, nothing too loud, just a casual look that you can actually wear on the streets without people turning their heads. What do you say? Do you like it?
