I’m a sucker for slip dresses over shirts

IMG_5083I know, I know, you’ve seen dresses over shirts or camis over shirts quite a lot on me these days. That’s just because I’m totally in love with that trend. It’s so easy and yet so stylish. Dresses over shirts don’t require a lot of styling. You can just slip into the dress, add a pair of sneakers and you’re good to go. For the evening you can opt for some high heels and thus you don’t even have to change. Simple enough :)

The dress I’m wearing is actually quite old already, you might remember this post here and here. Still it’s one of my favorites.

dress: Zara (similar here & here), sunnies: Ray Ban (on Sale here), sneaker: Superga

What time is it?

IMG_4698I still remember the time when everybody was like: “What do I need a watch for? I have my mobile phone!”.
I have always considered watches as such a beautiful style accessory and lately I have noticed a shift on social media towards the importance of them. Suddenly everybody is wearing watches again and there seem to be endless providers for different kind of watches. In the mass of all these offers I have fallen in love with one watch in particular: the marble watch by Nicole Vienna. Their clock-face is so pretty and the strap looks perfect. You can even change your strap if you like. I’m definitely not gonna take it off anytime soon. What do you think of it?

Thank god it’s sneakers time

IMG_4664I have to admit that the current sneakers trend really is a relief to me. I love high heels but let’s be honest, only while sitting, never while walking. I don’t know how girls do it, walking on high heels the whole day and still looking good. I could definitely use some training.

On the other hand, I have always been rather sporty and always feel overdressed when wearing high heels. Being officially “allowed” to wear sneakers with almost everything now is such a blessing to me. Today I combined my new Adidas sneakers with a casual and sporty Minus dress and added a white blouse around the waist. What do you think?

First Office Look

IMG_3830Hello my dears, today I want to show you my first office look. It’s my first day at a new job and I want to look as good as possible especially since it is in a fashion agency. As in my last job I am doing the PR only this time it’s not for one company alone but for several fashion companies. I am super excited, scared as hell, anxious, nervous, motivated, curious and a little sad that university is finally over. I am carrying around so many emotions right now 😀

Do you remember your first job? How was that for you? Were you as nervous and anxious as I am right now or were you just thrilled to start a new job? I would love to hear your story!

As for my outfit, I am really trying something new here. I’ve always been the skinny jeans type of girl and the suit pants is really something different for me. However, I really want to try out new things especially now that I am finally working in the fashion industry. From time to time I think that this might get really exhausting as I prefer underdressing rather than overdressing, but we’ll see how I cope 😀

What do you think? Do you like my first office look?

I am wearing:

pants: H&M (similar)
top: H&M
jacket: Zara (similar)
boots: Tamaris (similar)

One day in Ho Chi Minh City

FullSizeRender3Hey guys, I am back from my holidays in Vietnam with a bucket full of pictures and great experiences! Can’t wait to tell you more about it. However, I am gonna start with the end today, with Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) because I shot an outfit there.
Ho Chi Minh City was kind of crazy. It is such a huge city with more than seven million inhabitants. And if felt like all of them had a motorbike which they were driving the exact same day we were in Ho Chi Minh City. The streets were packed with bikes and the only noise you would here was the honking of their horns. I have never in my life had such a strong longing to just push the pause button, get some quiet time and the opportunity to walk, even on the pavement, without almost being run over and to breath normally. Of course the air was full of smog.
Still it was fun to watch and Ho Chi Minh had some great markets to offer. Especially the night markets are worth a visit. If you’re in Vietnam looking for (fake) handbags, clothes, shoes or whatever, Ho Chi Minh is your city to go to. And also it has a really vibrant nightlife.
I must admit, I wouldn’t pay Ho Chi Minh City another visit, but it was definitely worth the day to explore it!
This is the outfit I wore in Ho Chi Minh City. I hope all the mosquito bites on my legs aren’t too obvious. I had so many of them and they were scratching like crazy!

Inspiration: Top 5 nicest bathrooms

For me luxury starts in the bathroom with a freestanding bathtub or a rainforest shower. If it also contains a window with a nice view I don’t have any wishes left. I hope you’ll find my top five of the nicest bathrooms as inspiring as I do.

Inspiration: Fireplace in Winter

SFD4147D98F576045CDB87744D8B17E7AC5There is nothing like a fireplace in winter. To sit in front of it, cuddled in a blanket and with a hot tea in your hands, is the best you can do on a cold and snowy winter day. Fireplaces exude this coziness and homeliness that you especially feel when it is cold and dark outside and you’re in need for some light and warmth. It does not only bring you a feeling of relaxation and warmth, but also appeals to our senses. It gives us a feeling of being down to earth, like we were a part of nature itself.

What do you do to keep warm and cozy on a winter day?

Grey weather making it hard

IMG_1993Hi guys, usually I try to post an outfit every wednesday, but since two weeks the weather is just grey in grey and it is just to depressing to take pictures outside and rather difficult, as it is dark when I leave my apartment and dark when I return from work. That’s why today I just photographed the outfit I was wearing without me actually wearing it in the pictures. I hope you still like it.
