All good things come to an end….

IMG_3923Lately there has been a lot of talk about the end of skinnies. I don’t really believe in things being ‘in’ or ‘out’ and I definitely won’t give up on my favorite skinnies any time soon. That being said I believe however, that there is room for a lot of other great shapes and styles. Just as those amazing flare jeans for example.

There is something nostalgic about those blue flare jeans, the kind of jeans that Britney Spears used to wear when dating Justing Timberlake. I used to wear them all the time in the 90s. And I am talking about those mega flared-out kind of jeans. I felt super sexy in them and almost missed the time when all of the sudden every body wore skinnies. But hey, I was barely a teen at that time.

Now that I am so used to skinnies, it’s hard for me to reacquaint myself with other types and shapes of jeans. Well, we’re all creatures of habit I guess. Though I am still not really acquainted with flared jeans, I must admit that I am starting to like them again and from timt to time even wear them. However, I don’t believe that there will be such a huge hype around them this time again as there was before. I think they already reached their point of oversaturation a long time ago. Today, however, let me be a little nostalgic wearing those flare jeans again.

What do you think about flare jeans? Do you still like to wear them or do you believe it’s a trend that won’t make it?

Today I am wearing a flare jeans from New Look (very similar here), a Minimum dress, a turtleneck from H&M and a necklace ordered via Etsy. I know it’s a little unconventional to wear a dress over flare jeans, but somehow I liked it. What do you think?

By the way guys I am also on Follow and I would be super, super happy to see some of you as followers if you like my blog :) Thank you so much and enjoy your week!

  1. Hey girl!

Love this post! And I love flared/wider silhouettes as well. Ironically enough I came across this post on the same day that I posted about saving your skinny jeans! Just a funny coincidence, sounds like we see eye to eye. Check my post if you want :)
