A wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear

IMG_3791I’m sure every girl knows this problem: The closet is full still you have nothing to wear. I’m having one of these moments right now. Though I don’t really have a closet. Yes, you’ve heard right, I’m a blogger and I don’t have a closet. I’m hanging all my clothes on rags or stow them in drawers. I like them to be visible for me aaall the time 😉

I can’t really complain though, I have a lot of clothes. Not too many honestly, but enough. Still there are times when I am super bored of what I have. I’ve been super inspired lately and have so many outfits on my mind. The only problem: I am lacking clothes. I really am! I am not one of those girls who spends too much on clothes every month. I would love to though, but first I need to earn enough money 😉

So since I couldn’t realize the outfits that I have in mind, I needed to get a little creative and make the best out of what I have. I took the dress that I am already wearing here,  changed the shoes and added a sweater. Et voilà, it’s a whole different outfit.

I also have some tips for you on how to restyle certain outfits. I hope you’ll find them helpful if you are anything like me and can’t always afford to buy new clothes.

  1. Add accessorizes like a scarf, jewelry or another bag. Accessorizes can totally upgrade any outfit.
  2. Use a belt. A sweater or a dress will look totally different if you add a belt in the waist as it changes the silhouette.
  3. Layer with a thin turtleneck. A turtleneck under a blouse, sweater or dress will give a whole new look to your outfit.

What do you do to make old clothes look different? Do you have any tips? I am so curious to read them!

I am wearing:

dress: H&M (similar here & here)
sneaker: H&M
jacket: Zara (similar)
sweater: Avelon
